Overtime

Slowly packing up my belongings
Lazily putting away the days work
The end of my shift has come
Sneak out five minutes early

As if it makes a difference

Drage my purse, backpack, and lunch bag
To the hot, stuffy automobile
Trying to keep my eyes open
Trying to ignore their burning

Driving home between nods

Gaining my composure
So I can walk into the house
Dropping my bags on the floor
Collapsing on top of the covers

Clothes, shoes, and all
